Before discussing the features and variations of luxating WingAngle, let’s have an overview of the Luxating Winged Elevator and Anglevator individually.
Luxating Winged Elevator
Features:
Luxating winged angle features an ergonomic design tip with a non-slippery handle to ensure an effective procedure.
Tip Design:
Luxating winged elevator feature a sharp winged tip. It makes space or channel between the enhanced edges. The width of the tip varies with each color variation. The ergonomic tip design ensures an atraumatic extraction procedure.
Handle Design:
The instrument features a short stubby handle that fits the user's palm. Moreover, its non-slippery and maximizes control during the procedure.
Function:
Primarily, the instrument is ideal for severing the PDL to facilitate tooth extraction. This slender, slim design/structure with the winged working end is suited for use in confined oral sites.
Anglevator
1. Periotome
2. Luxator
3. Crane pick
4. Chisel
5. Elevator
6. Proximator
The atraumatic instrument is used to cut periodontal ligament (PDL) to ease the extraction procedure
Feature:
Anglevator features an ergonomic design tip with a palm fit handle to ensure an efficient veterinary extraction procedure.
Tip Design:
Anglevator features a sharp angled tip that can smoothly cut the periodontal ligaments. The angled tip can reach deeper roots to loosen the teeth.
Handle Design:
Anglevator features a short palm fit handle that ensures a firm grip during the extraction procedure.
Function:
This hybrid instrument helps veterinarians luxate and elevate the teeth to make extraction procedures easier and smooth.
Luxating WingAngle
The Hybrid Of Winged Elevator And Anglevator
This innovative hybrid tool has the qualities of both luxating winged elevator and an Anglevator. Veterinarians use it for luxating and elevating the teeth in confined areas. It can easily reach the deeper PDL making it the best tool for the dental extraction procedure.
This WingAngle dental instrument is quite convenient to use rather than the prior versions of elevators. Moreover, it makes the process effective and quick. As a result, veterinary dental experts can perform extraction procedures without damaging nearby structures. Instead: Thus, this efficient dentistry produces desired results and productive effects. Actually, WingAngle is the instrument that meets all the requirements to elevate and luxate the teeth of animals.
Features:
As luxating WingAngle is a hybrid instrument so it features a unique design tip with a firm grip.
Tip Design:
The instrument features a wing-shaped working end with angled edges. The wing shaped structurecomes from the luxating winged elevator while the angled edge is the feature of the Anglevator's tip. Moreover, the tip is available in both left and right angles.
Handle:
The instruments feature a standard non-slippery handle. Moreover, the handles are color coated for easy identification.
Variations of Luxating Wing Angle
The handle color and the tip size combinations are as follows
• Silver 1.5mm
• Rose Gold 2mm
• Purple 3mm
• Gunmetal 4mm
• Gold 5mm
• Blue 6mm
There are pairs of left/right angles for each tip size. For each size variant, the rose-gold color tip represents the left angle while the blue-colored tip is for the right angle.
Luxating Wing Angle Left Right Stainless Steel Color Coated
The luxating wing angle meets all the standard requirements to carry out an effective dental extraction surgery. Although, using this hybrid tool, veterinarians can ensure a smooth and quick procedure. So, it has become vets' first preference for dental extraction in animals.
Real-time Video
In this real-time video, a veterinary professional is performing an extraction procedure for a dog. The procedure is demonstrated in detail. You can observe how the surgeon chooses the variant according to the requirement. For example, for the right side, he selects a rose gold tip, while for the left side, the blue colored tip is chosen. Also, you can observe how the vet rotates the instrument after pacing it in PDL spaces.

Veterinary experts can observe the difference between the procedure carried out by common elevator tools and with luxating WingAngles. Obviously, it’s more convenient to perform with WingAngle. The demonstration shows how to swiftly and smoothly perform a dental procedure with this hybrid instrument. The cutting and rotating processes are so smooth and effective that there is no chance of any trauma or complication to the subject.
How To Use Luxating Wing Angle
While working with a small tip luxating WingAngle to luxate and elevate incisors, follow the steps given below.
• Find the ligament space
• Place the luxating WingAngle over the gingival margin
• Cut the periodontal ligaments in several places
• From inside, move around the blade well
• Then, switch to the other side/angle
• Following in ligament space, go deeper with the sharp tip of the instrument
• Rotate the instrument around the teeth to completely cut the periodontal ligaments
When you are using a larger tip WingAngle like 5mm, follow the procedure as described below.
• Line up the instrument to the tooth
• Check if the tip fits around the crown of the tooth
• Then, move it under the gum margin
• Make cuts at several places around the tooth
• Then switch to the other side/angle of the blade
• Glide it under the gum margin and follow that as deep as you can, traveling in the ligament space.
• Follow around the tooth until you get enough movement for the extraction.
To better understand the application of the instrument, you can watch a comprehensive demonstration given below.
