A Few of Our Equine Special Single Products
Winged Elevator Short Handle Backward Angle
Our Equine Special Winged Elevator Short Handle Backward Angle is a dental instrument used to extract teeth in horses. It is made of German stainless steel and has a short handle for easy maneuverability. The tip of the instrument is winged and has a backward angle, which allows it to reach around the tooth's root and loosen it without damaging the surrounding tissue. The available tip sizes range from 1.8mm to 8mm, making it a more valuable instrument. It is also helpful in removing dental fragments and foreign objects from the horse's mouth.
Burdizzo Castrator
The Burdizzo Castrator is our robustly designed tool for castrating horses. It helps perform a bloodless castration by crushing the spermatic cord in an atraumatic manner. This German stainless castrator features two handles and ergonomic jaws that close on the spermatic cord. We have specially designed the instrument to crush the cord without severing it, preventing bleeding. We offer our Burdizzo Castrator in five sizes: 9”, 12’, 13, 15”, and 19”.
Esophageal Grasping Forceps 1x2 Teeth Straight Jaw
We have manufactured these esophageal grasping forceps for efficiently grasping and manipulating delicate structures in the equine esophagus. They are 30 inches long with a flexible shank and a straight jaw with 1x2 teeth. The teeth help to grip the tissue securely without causing damage. These German stainless forceps are helpful in removing foreign bodies, biopsies, and suturing. They are specially designed for equine specialists with left, right, and straight jaws.
Hernia Clamp
Our hernia clamp is a special instrument used during the treatment of hernias in large animals, such as cattle, horses, and pigs. It can be used in various anatomical locations, including the umbilical, inguinal, and scrotal areas. The two adjustable blades with serrated inner surfaces help securely grip and control tissue during hernia repair. It’s made of German stainless steel and has screws on both ends that allow for precise application of pressure; this helps to ensure that the hernia sac is properly reduced and the procedure is successful.
Roaring Burr 9" Virginia Small
The Roaring Burr 9" Virginia Small is a veterinary surgical instrument used in equine practice to treat laryngeal hemiplegia, also known as roaring. It features a sharp, round bur at the end used to make a small incision in the horse's larynx. Once the incision is made, the veterinarian can easily remove the paralyzed vocal cords. Our Roaring Burr 9" Virginia Small is made of German stainless steel and is designed to be easy to use and sterilize. The grooved handle provides a comfortable grip for enhanced control. We offer both left and right designs with an overall size of 9”.
Arthroscopic Hook Probe 10 1/4" Phenolic Handle
Our arthroscopic hook probe with a 10 1/4" phenolic handle is specifically crafted for evaluating equine tissues against wear, tear, inflammation, and stiffness during arthroscopic procedures. Its rounded phenolic handle provides a comfortable grip. Available in 3mm and 5mm working end diameters and an overall length of 10 ¼”, veterinarians can choose the appropriate variation based on their needs for optimal results in knee and joint surgeries for equines. Additionally, this instrument is precision-crafted and easy to handle.
Balling Gun
We have specially designed our Balling Gun to assist veterinarians in administering medication to animals that are difficult to handle or may bite. Moreover, it’s helpful to administer medication to animals that are being transported, such as cattle and horses. Its ergonomic plunger helps eject a projectile of medicine in a controlled manner. Our balling gun is safe and easy to use for different large animals.
