Ophthalmic Instruments

Veterinary Ophthalmic Instruments are used in many eye surgeries and treatments. They are designed to prevent any potential damage to the eye. The most commonly used surgical ophthalmology instruments are forceps, and surgical scissors for making incisions. Forceps are used to hold tissues, iris, and other structures to restrict their movement during ophthalmic surgical procedures. The ophthalmic surgical scissors are used to maneuver in the iris and deeper tissues to sever the cornea, iris, or other delicate tissues. There are certain types of specula used in ophthalmic surgeries. The specific job of these specula is to keep the eyes in an open position.
