HVMA 2023 Conference Labs

Orthopedic Lab – Thursday Nov 9, 2023
Course Objectives:
1. To understand the cause and pathological changes with grade 3 and 4 MPL in toy breed dogs
2. To learn how to plan and perform a DPO and PTO in toy breed dogs.
3. To learn adjunctive techniques to prevent excessive internal rotation of the stifle in MPL patients

Point of Care Ultrasound Lab – Thursday Nov 9, 2023
This morning lecture and afternoon hands-on lab with live patients is designed to offer an introduction to all veterinarians interested in implementing Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) into their practice and training proper technique. Different viewpoints and normal findings at these locations will be trained on live animals.

Full lab runs from 10:00am – 5:00pm on Thurs 11/9.
Instructors Katherine Weber and Victoria Riggs
